Separate the waste streams
Concrete, steel, fibreglass, plastic equipment, timber, paving and general waste may have different disposal or recycling destinations. Separation can improve handling and transparency.
Do not bury unsuitable waste
The former pool void should not become an uncontrolled disposal pit. The quote should describe what is removed and what, if anything, is intentionally retained as part of an approved method.
Ask about disposal costs
Tip fees, recycling fees, truck sizes and travel time can be significant. Confirm that the price includes disposal rather than leaving open ended charges.
Keep evidence
Photographs, load records or disposal documentation may be useful, particularly on larger projects or where a future owner may ask how the site was treated.
