The work is more than demolition day
A contractor may complete visible demolition quickly, but site review, approvals, service isolation, waste cartage, fill delivery and reinstatement determine the overall program.
Access changes productivity
Larger machinery and trucks can move material efficiently where access permits. Tight access may require smaller loads, more handling and extra protection for paths or neighbouring property.
Weather and groundwater
Heavy rain can interrupt excavation, increase water management and affect compaction. Low lying sites may need additional planning before the shell is opened or removed.
Allow for the finish
Turf, landscaping, paving or drainage work may occur after the main earthworks. Ask for a staged program showing who is responsible for each handover.
